- Germany Exclusive East Coast Show
A Legend, An Enigma, and to some a Mother of Punk
From her first albums with the Nina Hagen band, to her extensive
solo recording and TV career, where does one start discussing
Nina Hagen? This
is a good place. Punk from the beginning, Nina incorporated countless
musical styles in her repertoire, effortlessly creating new genres.Known
to some as the Mother of Punk, Nina remains an extraordinary talent
and a true international star.

World
Inferno Friendship Society -NYC
World/Inferno Friendship Society is a finely organized mischief
cult; not a band. The ideal marriage of nihilist gangsters and
technophiliac agrophobes. Conceived originally as merely a vehicle
to mess stuff up, the Society has gradually reorganized its priorities
replacing street pranks with beautiful musical rants, and is,
at its core, a song by song backlash against the Entertainment
Industrial Complex.

Psychobilly veterans after 20 years
are more popular then ever. in 2003, the band went back into the

places darker and faster than ever
before, whilst retaining the touches of humor that the band has
become synonymous with.
Drop Dead Festival will be the first time ever the band plays
East Coast. Featured in Drop Dead Magazine in USA and many magazines
in Europe. This bands has a very energetic exciting show. If you
are afraid of the Wrecking pit you better stay back.

Cinema
Strange - California - Exclusive
East Coast Show
Since their inception in the 90s, Cinema Strange's consistently
well-received albums
and theatrical live shows have helped them become synonymous with
the Deathrock scene in LA. Singer Lucas Lanthier donned a bridal
wedding gown, and kept a plastic
cow mask covering his face for the duration of their
set at Drop Dead 1. With eccentricity like that, it was hard not
to book
them again! We've secured them as Drop Dead exclusives this year,
so be sure to catch them while they aren't touring Europe. Whether
they perform as Elves, Geisha girls, or the British Royal Guard,
you can always expect a cinematically strange performance from
California's Cinema Strange.

Naked and The Dead - NYC Exclusive 20 year
Reunion Show
The Naked and the Dead are Post Punk heroes who first rode off
into the sunset 20 years ago.
During 1985, they earned a namesake for themselves playing out
at Punk Mecca's like CBGBs and the Subway. In the time since then,
their original EP has found itself in DJ sets across Europe and
the Americas. With a sound that blends vintage JuJu-era Siouxsie
and Sex Gang Children, we're extremely honored to host the reunion
show of this influential Post Punk band.

Fly Ensemble -CA-
Exclusive East Coast Show
"Mother, I am hungry for some musical theater! I long for
acoustic guitars, medieval melodies and operatic librettos! I
would hear stories of the idle rich, humanoid anomalies, and criminal
geniuses of the early nineteenth century! I need to observe the
melodious consumption of fruit and the sifting through of old
newspapers and listen to the prattle of simple minds and the banter
of their superiors! I crave songs that deliver me into new worlds
from far away, from long ago, and introduce me to characters I'd
be, otherwise, afraid to know! Mother, I am hungry for some theatrical
music!"

Horror Punk at it's best, original and contagious. Sing-a-longs
are important, and what better proof can be found than the rows
of singing fans you can find at Blitzkid gigs in Germany, Virginia,
and everywhere in between. They formed in 1997, but made their
big splash with 2003's "Trace of a Stranger". They got
picked up by premier horror punk label, Fiend Force Records, and
have finished recording their follow up. They're relocating to
LA in 2005, to plot with sister band Mister Monster on how to

Bordello
- Canada - East Coast Exclusive
Based
in Montreal, Canada, Bordello is defined by their energetic and
somewhat obscure sound. Formed in the summer of 1997 by Jimmy
(bassist) and Jon (guitar), Bordello was a dream about to come
true. Since their first on stage performance, end of 1999, Bordello
has made its teeth marks in the Montreal gothic and rock' n roll
scene. It all began with 4 out of the ordinary guys. In the course
of the bands evolution, lead singer from day 1, decided to go
his own way, leaving the band in the beginning of 2001.The front
was then given to a charming girl, yet angst driven, Nadzine.
The band has gone a long way, from what people could firstly see
them emerging from the shadows onto a vibrant image. With their
always smashing & sexy live performance, Bordello quickly
rebuilt a brand new chapter and solidified their reputation: a
promising rock band.

Autoexploder
- VA -
Experimental Post-Punk with heavy performance art stage act and
Plazmatics like Female Vocals
Autoexploder was born out of the chaos, horror, and existential
anxiety of everyday living. The band was originally started by
Sarah Grimm and her brother, Michael during the summer of 2003.
They added a few other members, Noa, Mikie and Anthony; then Michael
left to explore the horror of existence around the world. The
culmination of the members' collective artistry has resulted in
a chaotic yet refined combination of batcave music, social commentary,
silliness, philosophical meanderings, old goth music, experimental
and noise music, punk rock, poetic terrorism, and sometimes video
and/or performance art. Sometimes they pretend to be German and
employ bad generally European accents and threaten to "automatically
explode" their audience.

BLACK
CAT REBELLION - ID-
Sexy,
dark, and dangerous Rock n' Roll
They have been around for a short while but have made quite an
impact. Mixing rockabilly with 80's deathrock influences helps
them come out with a sound that both swings AND scares! Black
Cat Rebellion was founded by Brad Scarecrow and Creepy Rob in
Late 2003 and later joined by D. Zaster. They set out to combine
their influences of Psychobilly/Rockabilly, Surf, 77 Punk, and
Oldies music. They blend these influences with a fun and eerie
atmosphere as well as a 1950's culture romance.
Black Cat Rebellion's spirit is the same as that of the rebellious
attitude associated with the original roots of rock 'n' roll.
Their catchy brand of "Trashy Punk Rock 'N' Roll-A-Billy"
seems to draw crowds from fans of many genres. Their current full
length album, Ain't Got No Time is packed with tracks guaranteed
to make you move.
Black Cat Rebellion will continue to cast a sick new shadow on
the planet of Rock 'N' Roll for years to come.

The
Brides -NY-
Bookworm Punk! That's possibly the only way you could describe
the overdriven wit wedded-to-77 Punk sensibility that defines
the Brides' sound. They released a full length full of Bookworm
Punk last year on Hell's Hundred Records, and have embarked on
a national tour in support of it. While they've been booking gigs
that are all the way in Brazil, you'd be hard pressed to find
shows that are half as fun as The Brides' when they're playing
to the heckling fans up front, in their hometown of NYC. Look
for their debut, it includes a collaboration with Melora Creager
of Rasputina, and songs that rival those of every band on this
bill.

Entertainme-nt
-GA-
Entertainment
is dead karaoke. The sound of a break down, formed in 2002. And
quickly developed a reputation for their intense, drastic live
shows. "Tragic and Ecstatic... flaunting noir? basic sex
moves." They released their first 7" in 2003 on Atlanta
based Stickfigure Records, which still stands as the labels ..1
selling 7" record. They signed to Luminal records in 2004,
a stark light, releasing a follow up 7" single in anticipation
of their debut album. Fusing a mixture of Deathrock, Postpunk,
Garage rock and New Wave into a modern mesh of groping, existential
noise, the orchestration is razor sharp.
"... There's an art to make the prickling heat of agitated
music approachable and they have mastered that... It has an 80's
spirit which is the sign of art in the gutter... mixing the era
following Punk when melodic cadences were being tested, with the
stagulated Indie possibilities, and roughening them both up, with
a twist of bitter Goth/Deathrock innuendo and attitude."

Lead vocalist D.F. Lazarus & lead guitarist Slug began in
1990 under the name "3 Days Dead". They operated under
this name & with many various other members until 1995. In
1997 they regrouped under the name "Bela's Fix". Bela's
Fix put out two cassette releases & existed for a mere year
& a half. Lazarus & Slug both took some time off for some
serious mental re-evaluation & Lugosi's Morphine crawled out
of their graves in late 2002. They were now in 2003 joined by
Anastasia (formerly of Savior Sect, an etherial goth band/ and
currently a gothic model) on rhythm guitar & Pat "Spew"
Ribbon (former lead vocalist of "The Second Class Sinners",
trash punk) on bass & drummer "Herb".

GreySkull -CA-

They formed back in 1997, and earned a reputation for being a
horror punk band that didn't sound like a Misfits
knock-off. While their singer, Bridgett Vera is a certified female
Danzig, their sound has more in common with TSOL's "Change
Today" than Misfits' "Walk Among Us". It's nice
to see a snarling female vocalist with some real guts in her performance,
and we'll get just that with Kastle Greyskull.. In 2001, Deathrock.com
gave a perfect score for their debut, "Lighten up it's just
rape".

Funeral
Crashers -NY-

In part Millennial madness, the Funeral Crashers first formed
in late 1999, taking initial cues from 70s and 80s punk, postpunk
and proto-goth (well before it became fashionable to reference
Joy Division or Richard Hell and the Voidoids), "roots"
music like the Velvets, Stooges NY Dolls and 70s glam (Eno's "Baby's
On Fire" became a recurring cover) and other strangeness,
including dark and eccentric late-90s New York acts such as Stiffs
Inc., the Brickbats and the Skabs (all since deceased). Smart,
moody melodramatic rock'n'roll with an aggressive edge; the songs
twitched, crept and assaulted, wailed the
Apocalypse on one hand, winked references to historical oddities,
horror novels and 50s sci-fi on the other. If the Sex Pistols
were "evil Vaudeville," the are musical Grand Guignol.
You can dance or you can shudder. They reformed at various times
in Brooklyn's late, lamented Sweetwater Tavern, forging contracts
subsequently broken by all members. By Spring 2001, internal conflicts
and a revolving-door lineup had more or less run the group into
the ground. Members acrimoniously went separate ways and moved
on to other projects. In spring of 2003, members of the group
were approached to play a one-off reunion show for NY Decay Productions'
Drop Dead Festival as early pioneers of New York's highly under-the-radar
"Deathrock" scene. The band members agreed and put aside
their differences long enough to appear at the festival, inspiring
audience praise and surprising cult recognition. And then they
broke up again. Realizing that documenting Funeral Crashers' material
was still viable, the band made plans in late 2003 to record a
full-length album and lay itself to rest once and for all. The
time was right. So naturally they split up and reformed instead.
Instability. . . re-emerging as permanent nightmare, new life
after repeated death. Or constant living death? A cat's nine lives?
Rasputin's children? The corpse that won't stay buried? Dangerous
and uncertain times feed anxiety and tremors in the night. Plots
have they laid. . .

Not On Evil - PA -
Philly Punkrock with distinct darker edge, released debut disc
"Lucky Stiff" on Oct 13th, 2001 and their new disc "Next
time nail it shut" is available now on www.sinisterrecords.com
Philly's Live Not on Evil have been making their mark since their
2001 debut, "Lucky Stiff". They played hard and often,
earning gigs with Foetus, Trance to the Sun and Penis Flytrap
a long the way. Then they played last year's Drop Dead, and suddenly
they realized there was a sizable crowd to lap up their "Static
Age" meets "Only Theatre of Pain" Deathrock dirges.
Recently, they put out a follow up album titled "Next time
Nail it Shut" on Sinister Records, and it has earned them
critical acclaim from Mick Mercer, among others. Let's hope they
keep at it, and play to bigger and bigger crowds each Drop Dead.

. Sasquatch
and the sick-a-billys - RI-
Ruthless, gritty and hellbent!!!
Fresh off a six week, 36 city National tour and showing no signs
of slowing down.
After three years since forming, the line-up consists of 'Sasquatch'
on Guitar/Vocals, 'Johnny Custom' on Upright Bass and 'Miss Natalie'
on Drums. Sasquatch rolls his eyes back as if he's talking to
the other side and plays guitar like an ancient monster. Johnny
Custom rides his bass like a bull that has just escaped the un-holy
gates of Purgatory, and Miss Natalie pounds her drums like the
Devil's train rides on the tracks to hell. This furious power
trio performs regularly in NY-N J-PA-VA-CT-ME-MA-OH-NH-NC
and in their home - Providence, RI. Massive amounts of local,
regional and national press has been achieved. This regional/national
exposure is just the begining of what's next for these innovators
of Rock N Roll. The band has conquered numerous obstacles that
are only heard about in movies. Some have called their music a
combination of Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Punk and Blues but the
only real way to get the genuine picture is to get off your ass,
go to a show and pay attention to the revolution that is...

Malice
in Leatherland -MA-

Still reeling from a gig with The Misfits, Boston's Malice in
Leatherland is on the verge of unleashing their self titled debut
and adding even more toe-tapping funk-punk to the repertoire they've
been
honing since they began in 2003. For being a trio, MiL's earned
themselves a rep for being the most raucous band on bills where
the other bands have twice the members. Maybe it's the fact that
drummer, Lindsay Champagne, can be described as a "threshing-machine
manga-girl in force", or the fact that their guitarist's
last name is Orifice. Regardless, a band will resemble its fans;
while Basim the vocalist managed to tackle four people in under
two songs at the last Drop Dead - the crowd repaid him by swiping
the mic at MiL's NYC gig on June 1st. They could belt out the
emo-bashing chorus in "Suburban Holocaust" without him.
With a sound that crosses Pfunk with Cock Sparrer, and a crowd
who're more determined than a terror organization, Malice in Leatherland
is set to demolish Drop Dead Fest this Halloween
